Which of the 4?

I enjoy tatting complicated patterns. I try to have a simple pattern going in my bag. Simple is better to show people what tatting is. So, I usually have multiple patterns going. Right now, there are 4. This is one of them:
Winosa 2017 Round 1
If you visit the website, you’ll see the complete doily. I know it will get complicated. I decided to add beads to round 2. Perhaps that will appear next week.

But…..

There’s still storm damage to take care of. I’m playing this weekend at the Mission. The foyer is drying out nicely, so the priming and painting will rise to the top of a long, long list. Oh, and the usual: grocery shopping, laundry, vacuuming, and all the rest.

Thank God there’s creative activities and walks on the beach.

Crosby weather continues

Life has settled into a routine lately: A day or so of storm, a day or so of cleanup, a day or so of Spring Cleaning (yard and house). What I need right now is a day or so of tatting to finish off these designs! Soon….I hope.
Jane's TIAS 2017 Day 10
I have been tatting

Oh, almost forgot to explain the title of this post! For many years, Bing Crosby hosted a golf event he called a Clambake. It still brings wonderful fun to our area. The best in Pro golfers come and play spectacular courses. Part of the event is a Pro-Am tournament that raises money for charities. Lately, Bill Murray has been entertaining all while making his way around the holes. Various sports celebrities also join in. The weather usually throws a bit in for the fun. The long-time residents call it Crosby weather. They will say with a wry grin that if it is going to rain and storm in February, it’ll be Clambake time.

This year is no exception. Rain, wind, and general chilliness are forecast. As I write this, the wind is howling, the rain is coming in sheets, and it’s just dank and cold. A good day to rest, tat, and sop up the water seeping into the basement.

TIAS Day 5

I played hooky Saturday from housework and paid for it yesterday. That and cleaning up from the storm took all my energy (whew!) It was just such a gorgeous day Saturday! Warm, sunny, and the weather was so….inviting! Sigh. At times I feel like I live in paradise.

Then a storm blew in Saturday night and then another Sunday night. No great damage, but things were askew and knocked over and there was a bit of standing water. So, I got right outside, cleaned up, and then started inside, and there was no tatting time or extra computer time.

Anyway, here’s my version of Day 5 of Jane’s TIAS. She released it Sunday, but I just around to it today.

TIAS 2012 Day 5
I’m intrigued with what looks like a tail off a square motif…hmmm……

Day 6 will be released tomorrow; more on this then. For now, I hope you find something wonderful in nature to enjoy!
