Every once in awhile I let myself experiment. I’m always imagining how a thread or yarn will tat up. Recently, I was given a bit of “yarn” leftover from an amigurumi project. Just enough to create a flower using the tatting hooks. It came out OK. I disliked working with the “yarn” as it is a polyester sleeve over polyester core. Softish and spongy and just not pleasant. The flower turned out well enough to use as a patch or embellishment. The color reminds me of Cheetos snack. I think I’ll pass on tatting more with it.
