I’ve been working sporadically on my new hair bun holder.
Overall, I think most of the choices I’ve made work. But…..
As I worked on this last round, the lace is ruffling badly.
What did I do? Will it lay flat after I finish this round?
As I worked on this post, I spotted not 1 but 3 “mistakes” that I made. Now they’re mistakes only because I didn’t really plan to tat this piece that way. So, now I must decide, do I like the “variation” or should I start over?
Don’t start over, it’s looking good! The edging ruffles might be useful when you use it?
ReplyDeleteI did decide to start over. The way I use these in my hair, I was afraid I would end up ripping it. We'll see how it works with the different stitch count.
DeleteToo late to tell you not to rip it out.... however, the ruffling may or may not have been to your advantage, depending on how you make the bun in your hair. When mine was long, I twisted it tightly, and I *think* the ruffling would have disappeared once the hair was IN the bun cover. If you put yours up less tightly, with less of a big 'ball' effect on your head, it may not have made the ruffling go away. Some days I really miss my long hair, other days I'm ok with having it short. :)
